CHROME EXTENSION PRIVACY
Chrome extension privacy policy
This policy explains how ToolRino Chrome extensions handle information. It applies to SnapEntire, Pixel Color Picker, ToolRino Image Optimizer, and ToolRino SEO Checker.
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Who operates these extensions
ToolRino and its Chrome extensions are operated and maintained by Nexvanta Consulting LLC. Privacy questions can be sent to support@toolrino.com.
The short version
Extension data is used only to perform the feature you request. ToolRino does not sell extension data, use it for advertising, build browsing profiles, or send captured content to ToolRino servers. The extensions do not run analytics or tracking code.
SnapEntire data handling
SnapEntire handles website content because creating a screenshot requires access to the page you choose to capture. Processing begins when you select a capture mode from the extension popup. It does not capture pages continuously or monitor browsing in the background.
For a capture, SnapEntire may handle:
- The visible pixels or selected content of the webpage you choose to capture.
- The active page URL and title, used as local metadata for the capture editor.
- Page dimensions, scroll positions, and element geometry needed to stitch a full page, scrollable panel, or scrolling selection.
- Your annotations, crop selection, output format, and other editor choices.
The screenshot, source URL, page title, capture mode, and creation time are stored temporarily in chrome.storage.local so the extension editor can open the capture. Closing or discarding the editor removes its temporary record. SnapEntire also removes abandoned capture records after 24 hours. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage through Chrome.
Chrome Web Store data categories
SnapEntire's Chrome Web Store Data usage disclosure should identify the following data categories because the extension handles them locally while providing a requested capture:
- Website content: the visible pixels, images, text, and layout contained in the webpage area the user chooses to capture.
- Web history: the URL and title of the active page being captured. SnapEntire does not read the user's broader browsing history, create a browsing profile, or track pages that the user does not choose to capture.
These categories describe data handled on the user's device. They do not mean the data is transmitted to Nexvanta Consulting LLC or ToolRino servers.
SnapEntire permissions
- Active tab: identifies and captures the tab you are using after you request a capture.
- Scripting and site access: displays selection controls, measures the page, coordinates scrolling, and prevents repeated fixed overlays while building a capture.
- Storage and unlimited storage: temporarily holds large screenshots for the editor until they are deleted.
- Downloads: saves PNG, JPG, or PDF output when you click Download.
Site access is needed because users may choose to capture webpages on different domains. SnapEntire uses that access for the user-requested screenshot feature.
Image Optimizer data handling
ToolRino Image Optimizer handles only an image you explicitly choose in its popup. The selected image, resize settings, format choice, preview, and generated output remain in extension memory on your device. The extension does not request access to browsing data or send the image to ToolRino.
Pixel Color Picker data handling
Pixel Color Picker runs only after you open its popup and start the picker or visible-page analyzer. It captures the visible area of the active tab in extension memory so you can sample a pixel or find dominant colors. The screenshot is used only during that requested operation and is not saved or sent to ToolRino or another server.
Selected HEX, RGB, and HSL values and their favorite state are stored in chrome.storage.local as a recent color list containing up to 24 entries. You can delete individual entries or clear the list, and uninstalling the extension removes its local storage through Chrome. Palettes and gradients are generated locally from the colors you choose and are not transmitted or stored by ToolRino. Clipboard access is used only after you click a copy control for a color, formatted value, palette, or gradient.
For the Chrome Web Store Data usage disclosure, the extension handles website content locally because the visible pixels of the page are needed for the user-requested picker and analyzer features. It does not read or store the page URL, page title, browsing history, form data, or authentication information.
Pixel Color Picker permissions
- Active tab: temporarily accesses the webpage where you start the picker.
- Scripting: displays the packaged magnifier and selection controls on that page.
- Storage: keeps up to 24 recent color values and favorite choices locally on your device.
- Clipboard write: copies the color, palette, formatted value, or gradient you explicitly choose.
SEO Checker data handling
ToolRino SEO Checker runs only when you click its inspection button. It reads the active page URL, title, meta description, canonical URL, robots directive, heading information, and Open Graph metadata to display a report in the extension popup. The report remains on your device unless you choose to copy and share it. ToolRino does not receive it.
Downloads and clipboard
Downloaded files are saved through Chrome using your browser and operating-system download settings. Clipboard actions occur only when you click a copy control. Clipboard history, synchronization, security software, and other installed extensions may have their own data practices outside ToolRino's control.
Optional developer support and UPI payments
If you choose UPI support, the amount is used on your device to create a UPI payment request and open a compatible payment app. Your bank, UPI application, and payment network handle the payment under their own terms. ToolRino does not receive a UPI PIN, banking password, or other authentication credential.
Sharing, selling, and advertising
ToolRino does not sell extension user data. It does not transfer screenshots, selected images, webpage metadata, browsing activity, or editor content to advertising networks, data brokers, or other information resellers. Extension data is not used for personalized, retargeted, or interest-based advertising.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data accessed through Chrome permissions is used only to provide or improve the extension's user-facing purpose. ToolRino does not allow a person to read captured extension data unless the user deliberately sends specific content when requesting support, disclosure is required by law, or access is necessary to address a security issue.
Website pages are separate
Visiting toolrino.com, including an extension's product page or this policy, creates normal website requests and may involve website analytics as described in the ToolRino website privacy policy. Those website practices are separate from processing performed inside the installed extensions.
Children's privacy
The extensions are general-purpose utilities and are not directed to children under 13. ToolRino does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extensions.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated when an extension's permissions or data practices change. The updated date at the top will show when the policy was revised. Material changes will also be disclosed where required before new data handling begins.
Contact
For a privacy question or deletion request involving information you deliberately sent for support, email support@toolrino.com. ToolRino cannot retrieve or delete captures that remain only in your local extension storage because the developer does not receive them.
