How to use PDF Splitter
- 1
Choose a PDF document.
- 2
Enter pages or ranges such as 1, 3-5, 8.
- 3
Extract the selected pages into a new PDF and download it.
Pages are exported in the order you enter them, with duplicate pages removed. Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Interactive forms and digital signatures may not be preserved.
When to use this tool
Extract the relevant portion of a PDF without sharing the entire document. Enter single page numbers, comma-separated selections, or ascending ranges. This version produces one new PDF containing your selection; it does not create a separate file for every page. Use PDF page positions, which can differ from printed page numbers in a document.
PRACTICAL EXAMPLE
Putting an appendix before the introduction
- Start with
- For an eight-page PDF, enter 8, 1-3, 2.
- What to expect
- The new PDF contains pages 8, 1, 2, and 3 in that order. The repeated page 2 is included only once.
Get a better result
- A cover or table of contents counts as a PDF page even when it has no printed number.
- Review the extracted document before sending it. The tool copies whole pages; it does not redact sensitive text within a page.
Common questions
Can I enter a descending range like 5-2?
No. Ranges must run upward. For reverse order, list individual pages: 5, 4, 3, 2.
Can I split one PDF into several downloads?
Each extraction creates one PDF. Change the selection and extract again to produce another file.
